The IMIE Local Markets index of the appraisal company Tinsa reflects in its edition of the first quarter of 2021 a 0.2% drop in the sale prices of homes in the province of Alicante, compared to the 0.5% rise in the total of the national territory. In Spain as a whole, prices have recovered by 16% compared to the lows marked at the beginning of 2015. On the other hand, they fell by 32% compared to the highs reached in 2007. Home sale prices appear to have been unaffected by the effects of the COVID-19 health crisis. The statistical report confirms that, in the first quarter of 2021, the price decline experienced in the last months of 2020 has slowed down and, that prices are moving towards a stabilization scenario throughout this year. A stabilization that could be affected by marked increases or decreases in prices depending on the evolution of health, economic containment measures, and the reactivation of both national and international mobility.
